Summer Pedestrian Safety                                                                          Bicycle Safety
                                                                                                                      What are the laws?
    Be predictable. Follow the rules of the road and obey signs and signals.
    •	Walk	on	sidewalks	when	available.                                                      •	Bicycle	riders	and	automobile	drivers	follow	the	same	rules	and	have	the	same	rights.	
    •	If	there	is	no	sidewalk,	walk	facing	traffic	and	as	far	from	traffic	as	possible.   Example: Cars must stop at a stop sign and bicycles must stop at a stop sign.
    •	Keep	alert	at	all	times;	don’t	be	distracted	by	electronic	devices	that	take	your	
 eyes (and ears) o the road.                                                                 •	Bicyclists	must	travel	in	the	same	direction	as	cars…	Always	ride	with	traffic.
