WVU Medicine announces plans for medical
office building in Shepherdstown
WVU Medicine East officials recently announced plans to build a new medical
office building in Shepherdstown.
The 10,700 square foot building will be located on Route 45 west of
Shepherdstown near Sheetz. The medical building will house two office suites
providing primary care services and space for various WVU Medicine
specialists to offer clinics.
“Berkeley Medical Center is also considering operating x-ray and laboratory
services in the new office building for the convenience of our patients in
Shepherdstown,” Anthony P. Zelenka, president and CEO, said. The one-story
medical building will also have 2,300 square feet of shelled space for future
expansion, Zelenka added.
Panhandle Builders and Excavating of Martinsburg is the contractor for the
$4.4 million project, which is expected to be completed in late summer of this
year. The property was purchased from Seneca Crossing, LLC, in December
2019.
VISION STATEMENT:
University Healthcare, as a unified health system, is the first choice for excellence in
