Leadership Jefferson Class XIV

The Leadership Jefferson Class had the Economic Development

Module in January. The day started at Hollywood Casino at Charles

Town Races with a meeting with Bill Belcher, Assistant General
Manager followed by a tour. The class then had a presentation by

Paul Espinosa, Rockwool Public Affairs Manager (and classmate).

Lunch was provided by Rockwool with a Q&A session to follow.
After lunch, the class toured the Industrial Park in Bardane before

arrival at the Jefferson County Development Authority with Lyn

Goodwin, Interim Director of the JCDA ( and LJ Alumni) who gave a
presentation . The class then ventured on to The Black Dog Coffee

Company for a presentation and tour . After Black Dog Coffee, the

class went to the Hilltop House for a presentation from Laurel
Ziemanski, Project Manager for SWAN Investors in scenic Harpers

Ferry. The last presentation of the day was with Daryl Hennessy,

City of Charles Town (and classmate) . Thank you to all the guest
presenters who took time to speak to the leadership class!
