1) Call to Order - Meeting called to order on October 19�� at 5:05pm
Roll Call of Officers
Present were President Jeremy Watmuff, Secretary Doug King, Treasurer Sandy Doyle, D2 Armando Cabrera, D3 Travis Knight, D4 Sandra
Neal, D5 Amanda Marquardt, D7 Michael Mageles, D8 Margaret Potter
Reading of Minutes
Motion by Sandy to accept the minutes of the October 2018 meeting as distributed, second by Margaret, all in favor, motion passed.
Report of Officers
Jeremy reported all seems to be running great.
Doug gave a very informative report regarding the details of the position.
Sandy distributed financials for the Board to review. Bank balances remain strong and grew due to the generosity of the membership
supporting various fund raising activities.
Armando thanked all that helped make the start of this Convention a success.
Travis previously notified Jeremy that members of his District would like the Board to allow double points at Conventions and Nationals.
This will be discussed under new business.
Sandra reported a few long time breeders in the District have quit the hobby. This has caused numbers to be lower at shows.
Amanda reported that numbers are steady in Illinois and Missouri but needs input from the Kansas area.
Michael said 2019 was a good year for Mini Rex in the area. Have new youth breeders that are interested in our breed.
Margaret reported numbers have been strong in the area.
Report of Committees
Youth Scholarship – Committee member Doug present the Board with the committee’s recommendation of a $1500 scholarship. Doug
commented it was the best application he had seen while serving on the committee. The Board discussed the recommendation of the
committee and fundraising for the last several years. Motion by Sandy to award a $1500 scholarship, second by Margaret, all in favor
except Travis who abstained, motion passed.
Sweepstakes – Chairperson Margaret Potter reported that she is current with sanctions.

No unfinished business.
New Business
National Show bid 2021 – Dae Lycos presented a bid from the Phoenician Rabbit Club. The show is to be held in Phoenix, Arizona, March
26th-28th, 2021. The Board discussed concerns over the early date and possible hot days. Motion by Armando to award the National to
the PRC, second by Sandra, all in favor except Sandy who abstained, motion passed.
Double Sweepstakes Points - Travis discussed the topic of issuing double sweepstakes points for Nationals and Conventions. Margaret
said she is already doing this. The Board then discussed issuing sweepstake points to tenth place at these shows. First place getting 10
points…Tenth place getting 1 point. Motion by Sandy to extent points to tenth place, second by Armando, all in favor, motion passed.
On Line Newsletter – Jeremy discussed having the newsletter on line. The Board has had previous discussions over the phone, we all
knew the details of the subject. Jeremy and Doug would present this at the general membership meeting.
Adjournment
Motion by Margaret, second by Sandra, all in favor, meeting adjourned at 6:15pm.
