        Indonesia has the potential to spearhead the growth of its transport and logistics industry to be
        able to deliver complex local and regional solutions with lower cost and dwell time. The focus of
        the government on improving infrastructure has included improving logistics and transportation
        infrastructure, with a goal  of achieving domestic and regional  connectivity and integration.
        Indonesia will in time become further integrated into global logistics network in the coming years.
        This integration will help customers and service providers realize an integrated and multimodal
        transportation solution.
        The  development  of  the  industry  in  Indonesia  are  increasingly  being  integrated  is  supported
        by the use of technology, such as IOT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence, Automation
        and so on, has encouraged Indonesia’s transportation, logistics and supply chain industries to
        collaborate intensively. In addition, the corporate business model in the transportation, logistics
        and supply chain sectors is also required to continue to be adjusted considering that this sector is
        one of the industries affected by disruption, mainly due to technological advances and changes in
        the tastes of its customers. In organizing ITSCL 2018, observers and actors in the transportation,
        logistics and supply chain sectors can find out more information about the application of the
        latest technology and the direction of the national policy in the fields of transportation, logistics
        and supply chain.

        The implementation of ITSCL 2018 is expected to be a perfect moment to showcase the progress
        of transport and logistics in Indonesia, both transportation by air, land, and sea, to the role of
        technological progress in creating integration with business e-commerce and other logistics
        business.

        The 5th edition of Indonesia Transport, Supply Chain and Logistics (ITSCL) 2018, Intra Logistics
        Indonesia (ILI) 2018, Indonesia Trucks and Commercial Vehicle (ITCV) 2018, Jakarta International
        Logistics Summit and Expo (JILSE) 2018  and Indonesia  International  Seaport Services (IISS)
        2018 is an excellent platform to bring government, international and domestic participants of
        the complete transport and supply chain industry all together in one place. The participants will
        come from International business leaders in the global transport and logistics community and
        more senior executives from the world’s leading manufacturers, retailers, distributors, ports,
        shippers, cargo owners, shipping lines, freight forwarders, terminal operators railway operators
        and many international bodies.

        I am confident that you will find the exhibition and conference interesting and insightful. With
