MAKING HOPE
HAPPEN
Cancer is one of the most frightening words an individual can
hear. Along with fear of the unknown, an unexpected diagnosis
and the journey of cancer also brings exhausting emotional
challenges and mounting financial burdens.
For the second annual Day of Hope, the entire Santa Maria
Valley united in the fight against cancer to support Marian
Cancer Care patients and families at Mission Hope Cancer
Center. Above, students from St. Louis de Montfort Catholic
School and St. Joseph High School joined 400 fellow community
members by hawking special edition Santa Maria Times
newspapers to thousands throughout the region.
Due to the generosity of our community, the second annual Day
of Hope raised more than $135,000! Marian Regional Medical
Center and Mission Hope Cancer Center wish to thank the
thousands of community members whose generosity provides
hope to Central Coast cancer patients and families who are
going through what may be the most difficult time in their lives.
