WE DO
IFE IN MY CITY ART FESTIVAL
(LIMCAF) commenced in 2007
and has recorded tremendous
success. Robert Oji’s desire to
encourage artistic creativity and
awareness of environmental
Lissues led to the founding of the
art festival. It provides opportunity for young
people, through art, to make meaningful
statements about their environment. It also
encourages and empowers young artists
throughout Nigeria by promoting and
commercializing their creative endeavours on a
national and international platform.
October 2016 marked the 10th anniversary of the
annual festival, and its success over the years is
testament to the vast investment Chief Oji and
Rocana Nigeria Limited has made.
The involvement of Rocana Nigeria Limited is
part of her social responsibility agenda to society
and culture. Life in My City Art Festival is an
annual gathering of artists and stakeholders of
visual arts in Nigeria, featuring exhibitions,
symposia and workshops. It is the single largest
exhibition of new works in Nigeria.
In its 8th year, the Competition is governed by
Chief Robert Orji, and organized by a registered
Board of Trustees with the support of the
Alliance Francaise Network in Nigeria, the
Nigerian Council of the Pan-African Circle of
Artists and, as mentioned above, ROCANA
Nigeria Ltd.
