Johnson Passes Away
oan Jackson Johnson, longtime community
advocate and former director of Lansing’s Human
JRelations and Community Services Department,
passed away on Jan. 29 at the age of 73.
Known as “Triple J,” Jackson Johnson was passionate
in her advocacy for the vulnerable population in the
community and focused on housing and food insecurity
in the region. She made it a habit to drive around Lansing
to assist those facing a night of sleeping on the streets.
