Very slightly more complicated than the overhand knot (opposite) is the Strength

1 Tie a ‘simple’ overhand knot, 2 Pass the working end through the 3 Tighten the knot to form a neat,

Slipped overhand knot

The obvious solution for a
jamming knot is to insert
a drawloop to make it easier to
untie. Contrary to expectations,
a drawloop doesn’t weaken a
knot – if anything, the evidence
suggests it makes it stronger.
