Double overhand knot
KNOT SCORE
Very slightly more complicated than the overhand knot (opposite) is the Strength
double overhand knot. For all its similarities, it makes for a much more Security
interesting-looking fixture. Perhaps that’s why it was used on the ends of Diffi culty Tying

Slipped overhand knot
The obvious solution for a
jamming knot is to insert
a drawloop to make it easier to
untie. Contrary to expectations,
a drawloop doesn’t weaken a
knot – if anything, the evidence
suggests it makes it stronger.
