KNOT KNOW-HOW
The finished star knot in Step 8 can be
turned into a button simply by tucking
each end through the loop to its
immediate left, keeping it parallel with
the adjacent strand. Alternatively, you
can go the extra mile and throw in a
crown before you tuck the ends away.
This adds a nice decorative touch to the
centre of the star, as well as making the
knot more secure.
