Racking seizing
KNOT SCORE
This method is particularly suited to seizing wire, where the repeated Strength
fi gure-eight turns prevent any slippage. Tied in rope, it can make a trusty Security
loop that is every bit as secure as a splice. Unlike splices, seizings have the Diffi culty Tying

advantage that they can be quickly untied or cut loose if the line is needed

1 Tie the end of the seizing line 2 Weave the line around the two 3 Put in at least five turns. Leave
