The fact that educators are often underpaid does not come as surprise for anybody.
Statistics show that in the US one in five teachers works a part-time job or a
summer job together with their full-time job to make ends meet.However, it seems
that teachers have found a way to get extra income.
Teachers Pay Teachers is an online market where teachers can sell their teaching
materials. Making an account is the only requirement to join the TPT community
and start uploading material from which other teachers can benefit for their
lessons. It is a win-win formula in which teachers can get extra money while other
teachers buy original materials and support one another. In TPT we can find
everything from worksheets to full lesson plans or materials for special educational
needs. The materials are varied and all of them are ready-to-go resources.
The best part is that part of the allotted school funds are now being used to support
the work of other teachers working in different schools and creating a sharing
network of creative resources. Once the resources we want are selected, we just
have to click download and we will be able to enjoy the teaching materials.
No teacher seeks to become reach with the selling of this material, but it is very
rewarding to see how other teachers like what you have created. Thus, it comes as
