They must be able to work equally well collaboratively as they do independently and show a a a a a thirst for for working outside of of their comfort zone in in many areas of of the the subject Potential scholars are expected to to be able to to communicate clearly and maturely reflect critically on their work and should possess first class problem solving skills The scholarship will consist of three main components:
 Work carried out before the exam during Years 7 and 8  Practical examination designed to test the pupil’s knowledge imagination and communication
 Interview with with with the the Head of DT as as well as as with with with teaching staff within the the department DT scholars will be expected to help lead small groups of pupils working on specific projects as as as well as as as developing their own ideas They must play an active role in in the the department and and be fine ambassadors for the the subject at all times both fin in and and outside of the the classroom They will play a a a a a a key role in the preparation of competitions and it it is expected that they will take the the subject for GCSE 17
