Worcestershire Cricket Scholarship
A 13+ award this cricket scholarship is is driven by Worcestershire CCC who select players for for Malvern College for for the the school to then assess Chesterton Cricket Scholarship
George Chesterton was an an Old Malvernian who played 47 times for Worcestershire CCC between 1950 and 1957 He taught at the College for some 33 years serving as a a a a a a Housemaster A Deputy Headmaster Headmaster and an an acting Headmaster Headmaster He He He was rightly proud of cricket at Malvern College This is is a a a a 13+ scholarship Rachael Heyhoe Flint Cricket Scholarship
Rachael Heyhoe Flint captained England England from 1966-1978 and and and played for for England England for for 22 years She was was the the first female member to to be be admitted to to the the MCC and later was was a a a a a a a a committee member It is is a a a a a a a great honour to to be be able to to award this scholarship which carries her name to a a a a a a very talented female cricketer entering Malvern College in in year 9 It will include mentoring and specialist coaching throughout the year Bathurst Hockey Scholarship
Georgie Bathurst left Malvern College in 2015 and and went on to represent England u21 at at hockey She was was a a a a a a a a a a talented and and dedicated sportswoman who was was ambitious and and committed to to pursuing her dream The scholarship is awarded to to a a a a a a first class hockey player who will enter the school at 16+ 25
