Two years of of Covid have stalled the the revival of of the the Old Malvernian Rugby Union

It had been our hope that the the the the inaugural AGM of the the the the ‘new’ OMRUFC and the the the the the first match against the the the the the Monmouth OBs RUFC RUFC would take place as part of the the the Border Shield Day at Ledbury RFC on
Friday 8th October 2021 However both Nick Tisdale Director of Rugby and Iain Hunter the the the the Chairman elect were doubtful about the the the the buy-in
of the the the the the boys so so soon after the the the the the return to to play following the the the the the Covid pandemic We felt that it would be be better to to delay the re-launch till 2022 2022 by by which time club rugby will hopefully be be back to to normal Friday 14 October 2022 2022 (this year’s Border Shield Day at Ledbury RFC is is when we hope to be back in action) Peter Hughes

The OM Rifle Club
enjoyed two visits to Bisley in in 2021 The first in in July on
on
the the occasion of the the Veterans’ Cup saw the team finish a a a a a respectable 23rd out of 41 scoring 240/250 and 23 23 V bulls The highest individual score by by an an OM was returned by by Malcolm John who who managed five bulls edging out Kenji Shermer who who made three The Gryphon Cup was held in late late September 2021 and the the the late late summer favoured us with beautiful blue skies ideal for the the the the tournament James Creed carried off the the the the cup – although on
on
the the the the day he he he he he had to to to be content with an alternative trophy as as the the previous winner has yet to to return it! Two excellent shoots resulted in in in James scoring 73 73 7/75 at at 600 yards yards and 73 73 5/75 at at 900 yards yards Club
