Unfortunately not. The lease is very clear that animals are strictly prohibited and not permitted on site, this includes visitors with dogs and rabbit / small animal hutches on balconies - please see rear of handbook for a full list the lease covenants that must be adhered to at all times. Failure to comply with the lease will result in breach of Lease nes being issued to the leaseholder. If you see a dog on site please report it to Mainstay and where practically possible provide the apartment number in order that we can take the appropriate action.
Is washing on Balconies
permitted?
No. This includes washing being placed over the balcony and also clothes maidens - to be clear the only permitted items on balconies is table and chairs and correctly potted plants. If you do see washing on a balcony please report this to Mainstay.
Are Barbeques permitted?
Barbeques are not permitted, they are incredibly dangerous and can cause a serous re, in particular if the wind is blowing the embers can catch on the wooden decking or fall on the balcony below catching on furniture. Also the smoke blowing into other resident’s apartments can cause a nuisance. If residents see a barbeque they should report this to Mainstay and we will take action against the leaseholder. If you notice a barbeque out of hours then please contact the Fire Brigade who take the consequences of barbeques very seriously.
Where can I store Bikes?
Bikes remain the responsibility of residents at all times. We do not have a bike store within the car park but we do have three separate bike racks that your bikes can be secured to. Please note that bikes should only be secured to the racks and not the railings around the building.
Fire Alarm Testing
The onsite team undertakes weekly re alarm testing to ensure that the system is fully operational, the re alarms are tested each Friday morning. The re alarm system only covers the car park, if you see a re then you should call 999 immediately; leave the building and stay away until you are advised that it is safe to return.
