The third book in the Bible which tells how sin entered into the world. The Biblical paradise described in Genesis 2 and 3
The desire to do something, especially something wrong or unwise.
The Fall is a term used to describe the transition of Adam and Eve from a state of innocent obedience to God to a state of guilty disobedience.
The tendency to evil in all human beings, inherited from Adam as a consequence of the Fall. The concept of original sin was created by St Augustine. A freedom from fault or defect.
The state of being sent away or barred from where you live.

   The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil
   God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden to give Adam and Eve a choice to obey Him or disobey Him.
             2. Who was responsible for sin?
    2.1
  Adam
 According to Genesis Chapter 2 Adam is the first human created by God. He chose to disobey God by eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil after Eve

  Eve
  The first woman according to the biblical creation story in Genesis Chapter 2–3. Eve was the first person to be tempted by the serpent to disobey God.

  The serpent
  The serpent convinces Eve to eat fruit from the forbidden tree saying that they will become like God. The serpent symbolises evil and temptation.

   God
   God is responsible for creating the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden. God is also responsible for giving Adam and Eve free will.
    3. How can a good God exist with sin?

   Theodicy
  An argument to justify the existence of God despite the existence of evil in the world.
   3.2
 Augustine 354-430 CE
 Augustine blamed Adam and Eve for abusing their free will and committing original sin. He believes all humans inherit this sin. God shows His love by sending Jesus to save people from sin.
 3.3
   Irenaeus 120-202 CE
   Irenaeus states that God purposely made humans imperfect which means they have the opportunity to grow towards goodness.
