help in the time of trouble. God ended up declaring his greatness on Abraham. Genesis 15:1 says:
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
Sacrificial living will always put God on the scene for your dignity. All your enemies will go into hiding. So, if God is your shield, whosoever touches you is in trouble!
2. David the Psalmist
1 Chronicles 29:3 says:
Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver.
David won himself divine favor and backing before God such that no one was permitted to assault his life. He was in a covenant relationship with God based on his sacrificial living and giving. Bishop David Oyedepo says, “The entire offering that Israel gave
