Understanding the Divine Secrets
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Spiritual refreshment is a direct product of sacrificial living. Each time you die to self; you are like a seed planted in the ground ready to die and rot away for a great and energetic “refreshed harvest.” We are told in John 12:24:
Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
In sacrificial living there is always an aspect of dying to oneself. Listen! Supernatural increase is a function of “sacrificial living.” The above seed in John 12:24 had to undergo death (sacrifice) in the ground before its potential of harvest was revealed! Abraham’s greatness in the plan of God concerning mankind was validated by the sacrifice that God commanded him to offer. In the knowledge and sovereignty of God, obedience equals sacrifice, the very fact that Abraham obeyed God’s voice; God accredited it to him for righteousness. One of the highest levels of faith is
