Proverbs 23:26:
My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways.
Your heart must be the driving force behind your “sacrificial living”; it is actually living to please God! It is not just an outward expression, but also an inward expression. Your heart must be involved if success is your desire!
Genesis 13:18:
Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the Lord.
It is dedication and addiction for God that drives you to raise your own altars, so that you can call upon the name of the LORD your God in prayer and sacrifice at any time and anywhere! In the school of “sacrificial living” the idea of dying to oneself is crucial; until you learn how to die to yourself you can’t be easily clothed with divine strength! Usually embarrassment continues in your life. Men of sacrifice die to them- selves continually; they no longer live, except by the will of God.
Galatians 2:20: 140
