If your flock is thin you can't expect God to fatten you. It doesn’t work that way. Be committed and devoted to nourishing your flock, then God will not forget you. God will bless you beyond measure. It is God who pays you, so stop looking to your congrega- tion for help. God who called you into ministry is faithful and He shall provide for you. 1Thessalonians 5:24 says, “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it”.
Living for Others is Genuine Sacrifice
Hebrews 13:1-3:
Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.
