Understanding the Divine Secrets
For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why have you made me like this?’”
So, if he has power to choose on whom to have mercy, then he has also the power to choose whom to discipline or pour his wrath on any time even before the Day of Judgment comes. God is sovereign such that you can’t fully comprehend his ways and nature. God can do what he chooses to do any time because he is God. The best thing to ever do is to side with him by walking with him daily. Otherwise what he suggests prevails! Revelations 22:12-14 says:
And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
