or identity in your own life you must hate sin with a passion. Hebrews 1:9 says:
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You. With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.
Then 1 Peter 3:9 says:
Not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
Further, Ecclesiastes 5:6-7 says:
Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands? For in the multitude of dreams and many words there is also vanity. But fear God.
In the Hebrew rendering the word ‘sin’ is derived from a root word which literally means “to miss the mark”. So, when Adam sinned against God in the Garden he missed the mark of God. The mark of God
