according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.
The Almighty God has no problem with your giving, but find out if it is a firstling giving or just your leftovers. God is great! If God has no pleasure in your giving it will lack divine backing, and it can’t get back to you. Instead it will suffer repulsion. Do not give what you yourself do not treasure. You must discern what will please God; don’t just give blindly. Cain never discerned what to give God so he gave the worst offering, and the result was frustrating and he ended up killing his own brother. It shall not happen with you. Genesis 4:3-5 reminds us by saying:
And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
You see, what made Abel excel above his brother were divine insights. He had tapped into concerning giving and sacrifices; otherwise in the sight of God he was not more special than Cain. However, if Cain had
