             Designed by writing experts from three universities who work with students on a daily basis.
             Introduces students to the particularities of different genres, providing practical strategies for them
             to try in their own writing, and model texts to help them better understand the organization, format,
             and language used in each of these types of writing. Includes case study report, lab report, literature

             review and reflective writing.

             Virtual Writing Cafes
             As we move toward social distancing and work-from-home arrangements, it will become even more
             important to build structure into our days and maintain ties to social writing communities to combat
             feelings of isolation. To this end, the WCC offers three virtual writing café sessions each week,
             providing writing tips for students. There are also a virtual drop-ins for students.

             Keep Learning
             Developed to support Waterloo instructors who will be teaching remotely.  Provides quick tips,

             strategies, and tools for moving teaching and learning resources (e.g., lectures and readings),
             practices (e.g., activities and assessments) online, and support for transition to teaching online
             rapidly and effectively.

             Keep Teaching
             A website run by STLHE and its Educational Developers Caucus (EDC) with resources to assist learning
             institutions make this shift to online learning delivery. Includes a curated list of resources for teaching
             and assessment online, convenient links to information on well-being, and links to information on

             responses by learning institutions.

             Moving Online in a Hurry: A University of Waterloo Library Primer for Emergency Online Learning
             Developed by Instruction Librarian. An online training course that covers a number of topics for
             consideration in the move to online instruction, including delivery modes, LMS, and support for OER.

             Skid
             James Skidmore, Associate Professor of German Studies and Open Education Fellow with
             eCampusOntario, shared his expertise on online teaching. Includes practical ideas on module
             building, learning through discussion, assignment and links to resources. (Recent Skid webinar on
             simple and effective online teaching).
