Throughout the term, AHSSIES
(members of AHS, pronounced as
“Aussies”) throw events for all the
faculty including movie nights,
barbeques, off campus outings, and
their famous “Pints and Pops with
Profs” event, where students have the
opportunity to network and build
relationships with their professors in
more casual settings. AHSUM members
understand how stressful school can
get, so they organize cheap and fun
trips for students to get off campus and
explore what the city has to offer.

A fall time favourite has always been
the Shantz Family Farm trip, which is
filled with cozy sweaters, hot apple
cider and pumpkin patch photos. Not
only do AHSSIES “get down” during O-
Week games on Columbia Ice Field, but
they also rock the dance floor during
semi formals and the end-of-year
dance.
