Upper-year Arts students
The UWAG is not only special for visitors, but it is also greatly appreciated by
fourth year Fine Arts students, as well as students working towards their Masters
of Fine Arts. Having a local space that gives them the opportunity to display their
work, share their ideas, and experience the artwork of others creates an inspiring
atmosphere and helps to kickstart the careers of these young people.
Events
The gallery periodically puts on “Art Talks”, events that invite artists to come and
do presentations of their work to the public. There is also a question and answer
period to enhance the connection between the artist and their audience. In addition
to these events, any time there is a new exhibition, the UWAG hosts an opening
night for the artist to display their work and engage with the public. Opening
nights are enriching experiences that are open to everyone, and they always
include delicious food and refreshments!
