   General Rules
It would be nice to think we can have complete health by supplementing a bad diet, but that isn’t generally the case. While consuming highly concen- trated whole foods, you also need to be conscious of how you eat throughout the day and increase your activity level. Here are some simple suggestions ...
• Add to your diet a large variety of whole foods like vegetables, fruits, beans, meats, etc. according to the diet you have found best works for you. For example, I’ve seen many people live healthy till 100 both with and without meat in their diet.
• Eat as little as you can of soda pop, sugar, desserts, and processed foods.
• Exercise consistently. Be aggressive or be more relaxed like just walking. Studies sup- port that all types of exercise are beneficial.
• When necessary seek out the best expertise you can find. It would be nice to think if you did the above items you would never have health challenges. Unfortunately, this world is full of failed genetics, toxins, disease, chemicals, and many other challenges that may cause you ill health to some degree, despite your diligence. The philosophy of regeneration® can help the body deal with health issues but cannot guar- antee they will never happen.
It was interesting that one of Dr. Chen’s nutritional objectives with the philosophy of regeneration® was to get in such good health that you could occasionally indulge in the “do nots” when a social situation was compelling. It is long term, daily dietary behaviors that either bring good health or illness and disease.
Help The Body Do
The Right Thing In The Right Way
An Amazon bookseller told me once that it doesn’t matter what diet book he has in stock, it
will sell immediately. Most diets reflected in these books cannot be sustained over long periods of time. They throw the body out of balance in a way that causes it to lose weight, but not in a healthy, normal, or sustainable way. Thus, the yo-yo effect that makes dieting a multi-billion- dollar industry: you are never done dieting because most diets either cause the body to lose weight for the wrong reason, so it comes back quickly, or it is too extreme to follow other than short periods of time. Generally, if you follow the seven principles outlined above, your body will maintain its optimal weight naturally.
If you are ever presented with a method to achieve some physical state of being that you desire, you need to ask yourself, is this natural? Can it be sustained by eating a good, rational diet? Does it force the body to do something abnormal? If so, you may want to consider going back to the basics of the philosophy of regeneration®. This method has a lot of experience behind it that shows it works to sustain good, long lasting health.
You Are Biologically Unique
The problem with a lot of health studies is that they are based on averages or statistically significant variation from the average. Thus, a food is good one year and bad the next. While these studies can be helpful, you must understand that your body is unique from every other body out there. If you force the body with drugs to perform certain functions, you can rely on that to generally happen. However, the body will also fight back when forced, creating
I’m a nurse and we work long hours! Sunrider® gave me freedom that I didn’t have with nursing. When I started eating Sunrider®, I had extra energy to do the things I wanted to do. This is amazing!
