Lions Club International. To kick off our eyeglass initiative, the Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter (EGO) held a massive eyeglass collection at the second chapter meeting of the year prior to the Cluster activities. The drive was designed to inform Sorors exactly what we would be doing at other locations throughout the year. Sorors were notified via the chapter weekly news update and via the one-call now system to bring their eyeglasses to the meeting. The flyer was also posted on the chapter Facebook and Twitter pages.
Sorors brought eyeglasses in mass quantities. Glasses were collected, counted, wrapped in rubber bands, sorted and packaged.
105 pairs of shoes were collected at the meeting and reported at the Alabama Cluster.
