The Supervisor’s Message The 昀rst wealth is health...Ralph Waldo Emerson
Last 琀me, I wrote you about the exci琀ng economic progress we’re making in Clinton Township. Of course, a strong economy is essen琀al, but Mr. Emerson’s quote is correct because good health is our most valued personal asset.
We’re so fortunate to be prac琀cally surrounded by excellent healthcare services in our Township. By now, you are aware of Henry Ford Macomb Hospital’s $250 million expansion, which includes a 225,000-square-foot, 昀ve-story pa琀ent tower with 160 private rooms. The construc琀on of this massive project on 19 Mile Rd. is another example of the signi昀cant 昀nancial investments being made to help you stay connected to quality healthcare.
On the east side of the Township, o昀 of Groesbeck Hwy., McLaren Macomb Hospital’s new 62,000 square-foot, three-story Harrington Medical and Surgery Center o昀ers the latest outpatient surgical technology. We are grateful to the McLaren team for their commitment to our community.

I’mproudthat18percentofClintonTownshipjobsarein the healthcare sector. Both Henry Ford and McLaren will connect more of our residents to great job opportuni琀es and quality medical services.
Staying healthy can also help us stay in our homes longer. We’re proud of the diverse forms of housing available in Clinton Township. The opportunity for residents to transi琀on from tradi琀onal living accommoda琀ons to senior living to nursing care and
assisted living allows them to spend their en琀re lives close and connected to friends and family. And there is more quality residen琀al development coming.
New homes are being added
to the Rose Garden Forest
community on Clinton River
Road and Cass Avenue. When
complete, 40 homes will be
available for those in the
“family” stage of life. Also, the
Deer Meadows residen琀al
development on U琀ca Road north of 15 Mile will bring 20 homes to that area. Our Planning Commission also recommended a new residen琀al complex on two acres of land at Union Lake Road near Metro Parkway. The Union Lake Villas will provide 20 two-bedroom condominiums. In addi琀on, Moceri Companies plans to construct 33 townhouses on more than 5 acres of land near Partridge Creek Mall. The development will be called Paloma, the Italian word for “dove,” which matches the name of the street close to the new buildings.
These new developments add to the variety of living accommoda琀ons o昀ered in Clinton Township. As always, we are proud to say that you can spend your en琀re life connected to your loved ones here in Clinton Township.
Spring is in the air as I write this, and summer is around the corner, which means Clinton Township youth sports registrationsarenowopen.ClickontheQRcode, register your kids and have fun!
