Water Walkers - Protecting the Great Lakes! 2:00 p.m.
Join local author Carol Trembath for this interactive, child-focused presentation! “Water Walkers”, and the just released sequel, “Stepping Stones”, are children’s picture books about an Ojibway girl whose family members are walking around Lake Superior and Lake Michigan to raise awareness about the harm being done to the Great Lakes. The story is based on the “water walks” of Native people and their efforts over the last 14 years to protect water. Hear about their incredible journey.
Book sales and signing will follow the presentation. FEE: Included with the price of admission.
