   31 SENIOR STROLL – RIVERFRONT RAMBLES
 Join a naturalist for a casual stroll along the riverfront and through Milliken Park. Every other month, we’ll focus on a topic related to natural or cultural history. Wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather – we’ll go out rain, snow or shine!
FEE: THIS IS A FREE OUTDOOR EVENT. REGULAR ADMISSION FEES APPLY FOR BUILDING ACCESS.

  Ducks on the River
THURSDAY, JANUARY 19 1:00 – 2:00 P.M.
Many duck species, such as mergansers, will overwinter along the Detroit River if there is open water. Find out more about how they survive and how we can help them as we take a brisk stroll along the waterfront. Binoculars provided, but feel free to bring your own.
Voyageurs & Ribbon Farms
THURSDAY, MARCH 16 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.
After years of hard work as a voyageur, some settled along the Detroit River in what were known as ribbon farms. Explore the lives and history of the voyageurs and fur trade in this region while walking along the riverfront.
