World Honey Bee Day with special guest speaker Brian Peterson-Roest, Bees in the “D” 1:00 p.m.
Life of a Honey Bee: You’ll become a member of a honey bee hive and learn the different responsibilities and roles of the honey bee's short life. Geared for kids through adults.

So You Want to Be a Beekeeper: For adults who are looking for practical tips and guidelines. You’ll will learn how to become a beekeeper and the supplies and basics that you’ll need.
FEE: Both events are included with the price of admission.

A Taste of Hunting in Michigan
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Are you interested in hunting but don’t know where to start? Have you always wanted to try some wild game but haven’t had the opportunity? Come sample some wild game – the original locally sourced, sustainable meat – prepared by a professional chef, while learning about hunting opportunities in Michigan. Holly Vaughn from DNR Wildlife Division will present an overview of hunting in Michigan, and Learn to Hunt Michigan coordinator Johanna Dart will talk about upcoming opportunities for hunting workshops near southeast Michigan.
Food will be provided by Gourmet Gone Wild.
Participants must pre-register for this event, by emailing your name and phone number and the number of guests you are registering to: DNR-OAC@michigan.gov.
