Meeting/Event Space Spotlight
Looking for a unique venue to hold your corporate meeting, retreat or team-builder? Check out the Outdoor AdventureCenter(OAC). TheOACisonDetroit’s waterfront and is surrounded by the Dequindre Cut, Riverwalk, Milliken State Park and the lighthouse!
The OAC has six rooms for meetings and events. Two of our most frequently used spaces are the
Lodge and Riverview Loft.
The Lodge – Looking for a different type of board room to meet in? This room will make you feel like you are in a log cabin, with the elk and moose looking on as you discuss important business matters. The executive board room seats 12 people comfortably.
Riverview Loft – The industrial loft with exposed bricks and steel beams, boasts a view of the Detroit River, Milliken State Park and Canada. This room is ideal for weddings, receptions, corporate parties and large meetings. The Riverview Loft has an LCD projector, screen, podium, mic and stage that can be set up to your liking.
Some clients that have held their meeting or event at the OAC include:
The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Bedrock Detroit, General Motors and the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy just to name a few.
Each room can be set to your specifications, using the following with our compliments:
• All audio and visual equipment in our inventory • 60” round tables (8 chairs each)
• 5’x2’ and 6’x2’ rectangular tables
• Comfortable chairs
We have free parking in the black-gated lot on east Atwater, across from the Milliken Marina. Your guests may also park at any legal street spaces.
