“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the

courage and the strength, use it to create.”

               Maria Montessori

The Montessori curriculum is an integrated approach where diverse
concepts are presented across the curriculum and in different ways

as the children progress through the grades. One outcome of this
approach is that children have repeated opportunities within differ-

ent contexts to practice skills being learned; another is that this ap-
proach emphasizes the interconnectedness of disciplines. The child

learns each skill best in isolation of other skills with real-life appli-

cations and with increasing difficulty and repetition.
At Diya , the classroom setting is prepared with materials appropri-

ate for the students to explore at their own leisure, based on their

interests. This motivates students to want to learn by exploring

               their immediate surroundings and resources.
