Beverly (Bev) Meyers Pelican, 86, passed away on
January 14, 2017 at Woodside Senior Care Center in In Memory Of
St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania. She was a positive, energetic
person who easily befriended the residents and staff
at Woodside, and will be dearly missed by her friends Beverly Meyers Pelican
and relatives.
Bev was born in Albany, New York to Vernon and
Blanche (Hollis) Meyers on December 8, 1931.
After completing her education, Bev spent several years Date of Birth Entered Into Rest
as a secretary and bookkeeper at her father’s law firm. December 8, 1931 January 14, 2017
She married Norman Pelican on her
25th birthday in 1956. Memorial Service
Anyone who spent a few minutes with Bev knew she was January 17, 2017
a dog lover. She owned and fostered many shelter dogs 10:00 a.m.
throughout her life, and was an animal adoption advocate.
For many years, she worked at the St. Mary’s Veterinary
