The Engineering Core maintains the College of Engineering’s footprint on central campus, while opening up the space between campus and College Avenue. The new buildings will improve how students, faculty, staff, and visitors previously used the space occupied by Hammond Building and the Engineering Units.
“The facilities master plan is
a direct bullseye hit on the college’s vision of ‘Inspiring Change. Impacting Tomorrow.’ It’s going to provide more space and better functioning space for us. Most importantly, it’s going to elevate our ability to deliver a world-class education to our engineering students, both undergraduate and graduate.”
– Patrick Fox, department head
civil and environmental engineering
