Congratulations to EPIC’s 2019 PGPC Employment Award Winners
Individual of the Year, Timothy Whitley (Right), is a hard-working man. So
much so that he currently has two part-time jobs. Timothy provides custo-
dial services through Chimes at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs,
MD. Then building on his experience with Chimes, Timothy also inter-
viewed for and got a job at Wendy’s where he works as a Store Associate
for multiple locations in Southern Prince George’s County.
Direct Support Professional of the Year, Chauncey Brewer (Left), has
turned his supported employment role into an art form. He frequently
uses his networking skills to get the people he supports noticed by poten-
tial employers. For example, while dining at a local Wendy’s, Chauncey en-
gaged three men seeking jobs in a conversation about their skills and career goals. The store manager overheard this conversa-
tion and today all three men have jobs at Wendy’s.
Employer of the Year, Wendy’s, represented by General Manager Trenetia Taylor (Center). Wendy’s gets it. The management
and staff at their Clinton, MD and Forestville, MD locations have truly embraced the concept of employment first, offering mean-
ingful jobs, fair wages, and career advancement to adults with developmental disabilities. Today, several EPIC individuals work at
these and other locations in Prince George’s County.
