MONMOUTH COUNTY VOCATIONAL SCHOOL
DISTRICT
The Monmouth County Vocational School District is a route to success for its graduates. A positive
attitude towards teachers, school and fellow students is needed to develop skills in the student’s
chosen vocational area. The cooperation of the parents with the vocational school is necessary to help
insure a successful program for their children. Transportation for a vocational program is supplied by
the students’ residential district. The students receive 20 credits per year for the two and a half-hour
vocational program, 10 credits for the shop and 5 credits each in applied science and applied
mathematics. The Monmouth County Vocational Schools are shared-time schools. Students will
attend their home high schools for half the day and the vocational school for half the day. Students
and their parent(s)/guardian(s) should review the vocational programs and courses available by
making an appointment with the appropriate guidance counselor prior to a final schedule.
