TESTING TIPS FROM
TEST-TAKERS

TIPS FOR RBC-M AND RCP-M:

• To be successful for the RBC-M and RCP-M skills tests, the tester needs to
thoroughly read through the Policies & Procedures manuals for the test. These
are found on the NVRA.org website under the Testing / Certification tab.
• The manuals give explicit instructions on everything needed to be successful.

• The tester should also utilize the word list that will be provided to them prior to
the test to make dictionary entries and use their on-the-fly dictionaries as
needed to make corrections / entries as they are testing.
• The tester also needs to be well aware of how to utilize speaker changes in the
CART or Broadcast setting appropriately.

• Practice dictation for both RBC-M and RCP-M skills tests are available in the
NVRA shop.
• NVRA now has recorded test readiness workshops available for purchase for
the RCP-M and RBC-M, as well. Go to the NVRA.org website and Shop NVRA
