Changes to Enrollment
OPEN ENROLLMENT
During our annual open enrollment period, you may make new benefit elections for the following January 1st effective date.
QUALIFYING EVENT
Once you make your benefit elections, you cannot change them throughout the year unless you experience a qualifying event as
defined by the IRS. Examples include, but are not limited to:
• Marriage, divorce, legal separation, or annulment
• Birth, adoption, or death of a child or spouse
• Qualified Medical Child Support Order (QMCSO)
• Change in your dependent’s eligibility status
• Loss of coverage from another health plan
• Change in your residence or workplace (if your benefit options change)
• Loss of coverage through Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
• Eligibility for a federal or state premium assistance program under Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP
Coverage for a new dependent is not automatic. If you experience a qualifying event, you have 30 days to update your coverage.
Please contact the Kate Somerville Benefits Helpline immediately following a qualifying event to complete the appropriate
election forms as needed. You may login to Paylocity to update your dependent information as needed. Paylocity If you do not
update your coverage within 30 days of the qualifying event, you must wait until the next annual open enrollment period to
update your coverage.

have internet access. Use Paylocity to make your benefit elections, update your personal information, and to locate important
benefits documents.

OPEN ENROLLMNET & BENEFIT ADVISORS
In anticipation of our medical carrier change from Blue Shield to Aetna, we wanted to ensure you realize a high-touch enrollment
experience. As a result we will have an Active Open Enrollment, which requires all employees to complete their online
enrollment with a Benefits Advisor either by scheduling a face to face meeting or by using the Benefit Advisor Call Center. Benefit
Advisors will be available to sit with you to discuss the 2020 benefit plan offerings , answer any questions you may have, and will

enrollment in Paylocity. See page 21 to review your OE action items in full.
