Online Benefits Enrollment Process



      As a newly eligible Team Member, you are required to enroll in benefits online by the deadline provided by The Company. If you
      do not enroll in benefits within the deadline provided, you will automatically be enrolled in the Company paid benefits and
      considered waived in any coverage that requires an election (including medical). You must wait until the next open enrollment
      period, unless you have a qualifying event to update your coverage.

      With the Sterling Online System, you and your family can access your benefits information whenever you want, from home or any
      place where you have internet access.



      How to Enroll
       •  Website: http://connect.sterlingadministration.com
       •  Company Code: 2499
       •  User Name: first initial  followed by your last name and the last 4 digits of your social security number (no hyphens or spaces,
         e.g., jsmith1234)
       •  Password: last 4 digits of your social security number. You may reset your password once you login
      It is very important that you log in to Sterling and verify your personal information, elect or decline benefits, and identify a life
      insurance beneficiary.

      Important: Because benefits are effective immediately, you may not be “in the system” until weekly file feeds are sent secured/
      electronically to the carriers. If services are needed immediately, it is important that you enroll as soon as possible and notify the
      Payroll and Benefits Department in case we need to special handle your enrollment.

      Paper Forms May Be Required
      In addition to your online enrollment, paperwork may be required if you elect Voluntary Life and AD&D insurance. If your
      elections exceed the guarantee issue (GI) amounts (which require health underwriting), you must complete a Cigna Evidence of
      Insurability (EOI) Form and submit to Melissa Halverson, Manager, Payroll & Benefits—HRIS  to complete the Employer section. A
      copy of the form is located on our online benefit portal. Once the employer section is completed it will be sent directly to Cigna
      on your behalf. It is your responsibility to answer any health questions and respond to Cigna should they have additional
      questions or require a health physical. The Company will be notified if you are approved or denied for coverage. If Hitachi
      Solutions doesn't receive your completed form within two weeks, your election over the GI amount will be voided and your
      Voluntary Life/AD&D amount will revert back to your approved amount.

      Electronic Disclosure and Online Benefits Information
      You’ll find documents posted on your benefit portal such as the Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC), annual notices, carrier
      benefit summaries, evidence of coverage booklets, claim forms, and much more. These documents include detailed information
      about the Hitachi Solutions benefit plans and can help you plan for upcoming services. From work or home, 24 hours a day, 7 days
      a week, you and your eligible dependents may access the website.

      The Sterling Online System website contains important information regarding your benefits. It is our policy to disseminate all plan
      information electronically. If you are unable to access the site or you prefer a hardcopy of the documents, please contact the
      Payroll and Benefits Department.

      Your Payroll Site - ADP
      Payroll is managed through a separate system, ADP. Please be sure to register as a first time user.
