Bass’ Journey Continues
Bass is currently enrolled in the HSA PPO plan.

During the short plan year, Bass moved from the FULL HMO to the HSA PPO plan. In
doing so, by the end of 2019:

He will have saved $390 in paycheck contributions
He will have received $585 from QSC contribution towards his HSA account

He had two trips to the doctor:
 $0 annual physical
 $78 sick visit
 $123 prescription

Before filling the prescription, he remembered the online discount website, GoodRx,
which compares drug prices at local pharmacies and provides coupons up to 70% off.
Bass was able to get the prescription for $48.

With the $126 he spent on medical and prescription expenses and the $975 he saved
by moving from the FULL HMO to the HSA PPO plan, he covered all his health care costs
and still has money left over! By staying on the HSA PPO plan in 2020, he will be able to
roll over the remaining $849 and continue to receive $45 per paycheck from QSC.

He is definitely staying on the HSA!
