2. Present Simple Tense with the Verb to be
The verb to be (am, is, are)

เป็นค ากริยา หมายถึง(เป็น,อยู่,คือ) มีบทความส าคัญในการสร้างประโยคภาษาอังกฤษ

ดังตัวอย่าง

 I am Italian.

 Europe is one of the company’s major markets.

 The headquarters of Nokia are in Helsinki.

Remember:

(1) Am is used for I.
am ใช้กับ I

 I am the president of the company.

(2) Is is used for he, she, it, or a singular subject (e.g., a student).

is ใช้กับ he, she, it, และประธานเอกพจน์ (เช่น a student)

 He is a senior sales representative.

 She is an executive secretary for a company.

 It is important for all of us.

 Sally is the personnel manager.
