UNITS FOR MEASURING WEIGHT
There are several units (in the metric system) for measuring weight but here we
will study only about kilogram (kg) and gram (g).
Different devices are used for measuring the weight of different objects.
For example, pan balance, electronic weighing machine, spring balance, etc.

Kilogram (kg)
Kilogram is the standard unit of weight. Kilogram is written as kg in short
form. It is used for measuring the weight of heavier objects such as a bag of
rice, a bag of fruits and so on. We also measure our weight in kg.
Gram (g)
Gram is used for measuring the weight of lighter objects such as apple, a lemon
and so on. Gram is written as g in short form.
