Beth replies but bcc’s David. David replies to all but forgets to include Beth. You finally have all the input and you’re about to finalize the report but Mary, at the last minute, replies to all but doesn’t look at the input from Beth and David. So now you have to add her feedback and resend the new version for everyone to review.
This story can go on and on until your hair turns gray, but there’s a better way to do this: Kill the email tree. Use Microsoft Teams instead.
With Teams, everyone will see everyone’s feedback. If someone new comes along, that person will see everyone’s feedback. So there. No more email trees!
Stay Focused with Focused Inbox
Focused Inbox in the Outlook desktop or online version helps you prioritize your email so you can focus on important and critical work. When enabled, the func- tionality separates your email into two tabs: Focused and Other. Email that is important to you is in the Focused tab, while the rest is filed under the Other tab — out of the way but easily accessed.
If you wonder how the system determines what’s important and what’s not, it’s really nothing but plain old AI and machine learning. Basically, the system con- siders the email you respond to, the contacts you interact with, and your activities and behaviors across the Office 365 ecosystem. Bulk email is automatically detected and dumped into the Other tab. So the more you use Office 365, the sys- tem becomes better in sorting your email so that it “feels right” to you.
Accessibility Features Make Everyone Productive
Did you know there are over 1 billion people with disabilities in the world? The U.S. Census Bureau reports that in the United States, nearly 1 in 5 people have a disability and 70 percent of disabilities are invisible. Whether it’s visual, hearing, cognitive, speech, mobility, or neural, having a disability can be a blocker for suc- cess in the workplace. To address this issue, Microsoft has built accessibility fea- tures into Office 365 to ensure productivity can be enjoyed by everyone in the organization including those who have disabilities.
