Weaknesses?
I honestly have nothing to note. I worked in the capacity of Operations Manager for 10 years and Alex was absolutely top notch. When we had customers that were considered VIP’s, Alex was always my first choice to assign as their guide.
How would you describe the candidate’s quantity and quality of work?
Excellent
How would you characterize the candidate’s problem-solving skills?
Alex worked in a dynamic wilderness setting on a daily basis where creative problem solving is often necessary. I had supreme confidence in Alex’s ability to navigate an issue that might arise.
How would you characterize the candidate’s technical/computer skills?
Although those skills were not necessarily needed in the capacity of this position. I know Alex to be competent in that category.
Did the candidate work on multiple projects at once? If so, how did he/she handle prioritization? Alex is definitely capable of prioritizing when giving multiple task.
How would you describe the candidate’s relationships with her coworkers, subordinates (if applicable), and with superiors?
Alex was always held in high regard by his peers and acted as an excellent mentor to his less experienced coworkers.
What was the candidate’s reason for leaving your employ?
Unfortunately, in the river outfitting industry with very few exceptions at some point it is simply time to move on.

If you’ve had the chance to interact with Alex, then I don’t need to tell you that he has an outstanding and charming personality. But what I can say, is that he is a genuine and caring person.
