Story: Born into one of Sweden’s richest and most highly regarded noble families, AXEL von FERSEN (18), arrives to Paris in 1778 to prepare himself for a life as an ambassador or a high ranked military. With his dominant height, blue eyes and good looks he makes women want him and men admire him. But Axel is more interested in a flamboyant lifestyle than a career. At a masquerade, Axel is introduced to the young MARIA ANTOINETTE (18), the soon to be queen of France.It’s a passionate encounter and the two become lovers, behind the back of Maria Antoinette’s husband, Ludvig XVI. But Fersen’s father, a high ranked Swedish politician, has had enough
of his son’s lifestyle and withdraws the maintenance. Seeking adventure, Fersen joins the French Army under General Major Lafayette to fight the British in the American Revolutionary War. As advisor to George Washington, he sees the birth of USA. This experience changes Fersen and he gets his life calling - to protect and defend the monarchies of Europe. Back in France, he reunites with Maria Antoinette who is now the scapegoat for the poor French finances due to the war in America. She is the most hated person in the country and it doesn’t take long until the masses gather outside the Versailles palace demanding her head on a silver platter. The French Revolution is inevitable. Being able to escape the mob, the royal family is detained in their Parisian palace under Lafayette’s watch.
