was under the rule of the German emperor. However, during the journey, he died quietly and unnoticed.
Regarding Leonora Christina, in May 1663, after taking leave from her husband, who she would never see again, she traveled to England to claim her husband's demands from King Charles II. However, in July, she was arrested in Dover by her brother, King Frederick, and transported
to Copenhagen on an English ship. She arrived in Copenhagen on the morning of August 8th and was imprisoned in the so-called "Blaataarn" at the castle. She was not released from this prison until after the death of her bitter enemy, Queen Sophia Amalia, on February 20, 1685. In May of that year, she was finally released after nearly 22 years of imprisonment. After spending some time with some of her relatives at Husumgaard near Copenhagen, she moved to Maribo monastery on Lolland, which had been granted to her for life by King Christian V. She died there on March 16, 1698.
The historically notorious secret passage in the property on Adelgatan in Malmo, through which Ulfeldt escaped on July 15 or 16, 1660, no longer exists. The old secret door was later replaced with a regular door, fitted with two hinges and locked with an external latch, but on October 1-3, 1876, the door was removed, the cellar entrance was bricked up, and a window frame with a blind window was inserted into the plaster on the street side. Now even the window frame has been removed and the sealed
cellar passage, the current cellar master has used as storage room for canned goods such as jams, juices, cucumbers and others
and also purchased food. After Ulfeldt's escape from Malmo, his property in Scania, such as the estates of Bosjokfoster and Torup and the properties on Adelgatan, were seized by the Swedish government, but it is worth noting that they were not declared forfeited by any legal de- cision.
