In 1785, Patrioten planned to build on plots 346 and 357, and as a secu- rity measure, they made an agreement between each other on July 12th of the same year. Patrioten agreed to demolish the stone house on plot 346 for the new building and to leave the remaining part of the plot 346 unbuilt with a width of 7 alnars (a old unit of measurement, cubits). In return, Catharina Margaretha Schultin, agreed to transfer the ownership rights to the triangular portion of plot 353 east of the new building
line, between plots 346 and 352, to the interested parties of Patrioten,
in exchange for the use of the land that was added from plot 346. Addi- tionally, the portion of plot 346 that lay south of a line drawn from the southern gable of the stairwell of the sugar factory Svanen, was to be left unbuilt and used by the owners of the adjacent properties under cer- tain conditions, while preserving each party's ownership rights to their respective street portions in perpetuity.
